Unlike resume builders that ask you to fill out a survey, I take the time to interview you to learn about your unique strengths and career goals. I also work with you to understand what your next employer will expect. Through this process, we produce a resume that highlights your qualifications and achievements. Many clients have said that these meetings gave them confidence during job interviews.
A good resume will help you get an interview. However, you will never receive a job offer if you don’t have good interviewing skills. Most job seekers I’ve met approach interviewing the wrong way. They think of job interviews as a test, something they can “ace.” Too often this approach leads to scripted answers, which cause stiff, stuttering performances during interviews.
Some coaches work according to systems and ask every client to do the same thing. My theory of coaching is based on a belief that no two people are alike. Moreover, the opportunity or challenge you are facing that this point in your career is unique and needs to be addressed with a custom solution. I begin every coaching relationship with a free consultation. In that meeting, we work together to determine what you need and how I can help.
